MY GREAT ISHPEMING
Ishpeming’s history is rooted in the discovery of Iron Ore during the 1840s. The city was built to support mining, and much of that past is still visible today.
Ishpeming is currently home to roughly 6,000 residents. The city offers a variety of options for shopping, restaurants, events, and recreation.
NEIGHBORHOODS
The various neighborhoods which make up the city vary in age and style. Historic homes, some more than 100 years old, boast their legacy with their Victorian splendor. Other homes are more modern and welcoming just the same. The neighborhoods are woven together by bike paths and sidewalks and offer amenities of living in a small city as well as access to nature, lakes, and trails.
